WWE WrestleMania Sunday (Night 2) took place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. After an amazing main event on WrestleMania Saturday, Night 2 had a big challenge to match it. But with John Cena facing Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship, they were more than ready.

WrestleMania Sunday also featured a Triple Threat match for the Women’s World Championship with Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, and Iyo Sky, a Fatal 4-Way for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and a match between Logan Paul and AJ Styles. There were also two surprises planned for the night. Bayley was removed from the event under controversial circumstances, and Lyra Valkyria was expected to team up with a mystery partner, who was rumored to be Becky Lynch.

Kevin Owens was pulled from WrestleMania 41 because of a real injury. His replacement was kept a secret, and some people think it could be a big surprise return, possibly from someone like Rusev, who recently re-signed with WWE.

Highlights and Grades:

  • Iyo Sky defeated Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley.

Iyo Sky, the world champion, came out first without any big entrance.

Bianca Belair got a double-dutch entrance, just like I hoped for last year.

Rhea Ripley got the loudest cheers. Iyo Sky was next, and Bianca Belair got some boos.

Fans chanted “Iyo” loudly after she did a backflip onto Rhea outside the ring. Rhea wasn’t the biggest star in the match, but she was the best performer.

Bianca tried to lift both Rhea and Iyo for a double KOD while Rhea had Iyo in a Prism Trap. Instead, she hit the KOD on Rhea. The crowd started chanting, “This is awesome!”

There was a great Tower of Doom move, and Iyo came out on top. The crowd chanted “This is awesome!” again.

Bianca became one of the very few women to kick out of Rhea’s Riptide. Rhea couldn’t believe it.

Iyo blocked another Riptide from the second rope but got hit with a KOD and still kicked out.

Following the storyline, Bianca had Rhea beat with a KOD, but she didn’t notice Iyo. Iyo hit a Moonsault during the pin and won. The crowd went wild. Iyo leveled up, and a Bianca vs. Rhea rivalry is going to be exciting.

Bianca lost at WrestleMania for the first time, and Las Vegas is becoming a bad-luck place for her.

Grade: A for Bianca Belair vs. Iyo Sky vs. Rhea Ripley.

Drew McIntyre Defeated Damian Priest

Drew McIntyre made a cool entrance, pulling a sword out of a stone like a scene from a movie. Damian Priest had a dramatic entrance too, with live music, smoke, fire, and even a guitarist from the band Slayer.

For the second year in a row, McIntyre tweeted during his WrestleMania match. His tweet said, “Still bored at work lol,” which got a big cheer from the crowd.

Priest pulled off a strong move by chokeslamming McIntyre while wearing a chair around his neck.

McIntyre tried to do a White Noise move from the second rope, but Priest reversed it into a Razor’s Edge, slamming him through a table.

Drew hit a powerful Future Shock DDT on the steel stairs, almost getting the win. The crowd once again chanted “this is awesome,” making it the second time that night.

Priest tried to walk the ropes for an Old School move, but Drew pushed him through two tables. The crowd was clearly cheering for McIntyre.

The match ended in an exciting way when Drew hit a Claymore Kick through a chair stuck in the ropes. Even though it was called a “Sin City Street Fight,” most of the action stayed inside the ring—but it was still wild.

Match Grade: B+

Dominik Mysterio Beat Finn Balor, Penta, and Bron Breakker

The crowd was very excited for Bron Breakker at the start. He hit a big Spear on Dominik early in the match, but someone stopped the pin.

Surprisingly, fans started cheering for “Dirty Dom,” and the chants got louder as the match went on.

Breakker did an incredible move, throwing both Finn and Penta in a double German suplex. When Dom came back into the ring, fans cheered even more. They even chanted “Eddie” when he did the Three Amigos suplexes.

Breakker showed his strength again with another double suplex and then hit his Breakkensteiner move.

Dom came back into the match once again and attacked Finn Balor. The crowd loved it and chanted “This is awesome” — the third match in a row to get that reaction.

Breakker also Speared someone through a table — his third Spear of the match, and the best one. Still, fans kept cheering for “Dirty Dom” (even in European languages!).

The match ended when Finn hit his Coup de Grace move, but Dom came in and hit a Frog Splash on him to win. Earlier, Finn had knocked Dom off the top rope.

Even though fans booed Dominik at the start, they cheered loudly when he won — and even gave him a curtain call. In just one match, he went from being one of the most hated to one of the most loved wrestlers in WWE.

Grade for the IC Title Fatal 4-Way: B

Joe Hendry Accepts Randy Orton’s Challenge and Loses

Randy Orton’s surprise opponent was Joe Hendry. The crowd was excited and sang along to Hendry’s entrance. There were chants for TNA at the start of the match. It’s 2025 — TNA is now part of WrestleMania, and WWE owns Triple A. Pretty crazy.

Orton tried to hit an RKO right away, but Hendry almost pinned him with a quick move.

Hendry showed off and outsmarted Orton a few times, which made the crowd cheer for him even more.

Hendry tried to chokeslam Orton, but Orton stopped it in a funny way.

Even though fans cheered for Orton, they really supported Hendry. But Hendry posed a bit too much, and Orton hit him with an RKO to win.

After the match, Orton lifted Hendry’s hand like a sign of respect — then hit him with another RKO. Orton did his usual victory pose, but with Hendry’s camera style. He gave Hendry a friendly pat and walked away. It was a great moment.

Grade: B

Logan Paul beat AJ Styles

Logan Paul came to the ring with his own drone camera. He used it during his entrance and even filmed himself while attacking AJ Styles. The crowd booed him a lot for it.

At first, the crowd wasn’t very excited about the match, even though Logan kept trying to make them angry.

The energy picked up when fans started chanting “you still suck” at Logan, even though he was doing some impressive moves.

AJ Styles made a strong comeback, and the crowd cheered loudly, chanting his name.

Logan Paul used AJ’s own move, the Styles Clash, but AJ got up quickly and did the move back to Logan, almost winning.

One of Logan’s helpers gave him brass knuckles, but then Karrion Kross showed up (the crowd loved it) and took them. He gave the knuckles to AJ and told him to use them. But AJ, being the good guy, threw them away and punched Kross instead. The crowd didn’t like that. Then Logan knocked AJ out with a move called the Paulverizer and won the match. It was a fun story.

Grade for Logan Paul vs. Karrion Kross: B-

Becky Lynch Comes Back and Wins Tag Team Titles

Lyra Valkyria, wearing wings, looked truly emotional during her first time at WrestleMania. It was a touching moment.

Becky Lynch showed up as Lyra’s surprise tag team partner, and the crowd at Allegiant Stadium went crazy. Becky is also back using her nickname, “The Man.”

During the match, Lyra took a hard kick to the stomach while trying to jump off the top rope.

After the excitement of Becky’s return calmed down, the crowd was quiet until Becky got tagged back in. The match did a good job building up to that moment.

Becky’s submission move, the Disarmher, was stopped, but then Lyra went wild on Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. She even hit a tornado DDT on Raquel outside the ring. Becky ended the match with her Manhandle Slam on Liv to win the titles.

At the end, Stone Cold Steve Austin made a surprise appearance and announced the crowd size for Night 2: 63,226 people.

John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes, Wins 17th World Championship

John Cena’s entrance was super basic—it looked like a Microsoft Word font. I loved it. It totally fits his bad guy image now. He didn’t try to impress anyone—no new outfit, no fancy entrance. Just showed up.

Cody Rhodes, on the other hand, had a wild entrance with stunt motorcyclists, like something out of an Evel Knievel show.

The crowd went crazy—cheering and booing loudly for both Cena and Cody. It was one of the most intense and exciting openings to a WrestleMania main event I’ve ever seen. And that’s saying a lot!

Cena got booed early on because he kept delaying the match and even acted like he was going to leave.

This was the first time we’ve seen Cena act like a bad guy (heel) since his character change. One of his new moves was a big boot.

He dominated Cody at the start using basic moves like throws and holds. The match was set up to make people feel bad for Cody, but most of the crowd still supported Cena.

Cena kept acting like an old-school bad guy from the 1980s, even using axe-handle smashes. Cody blocked one, but Cena hit more of them while Cody was on the ground.

Cody stopped Cena’s “You Can’t See Me” taunt with a kick and made a comeback, though the crowd mostly booed him.

Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment (AA) for a close two-count.

His second “You Can’t See Me” was aimed at the fans, and then he landed a Five Knuckle Shuffle.

Cena hit a Super AA—the same move he used to beat AJ Styles for his 16th world title—but Cody kicked out again.

When Cody tried to hit his Cross Rhodes finisher, Cena reversed it with another AA and locked in the STF. Cody kicked him into the referee and hit Cross Rhodes, getting a visual count of eight (but no official pin since the ref was down).

Cena then took off the turnbuckle pad and slammed Cody’s head into the exposed metal a few times, followed by another AA. Cody still kicked out.

Suddenly, Travis Scott appeared, but Cody took him down with a Cross Rhodes.

Cena tried to use a championship belt as a weapon, but Cody stopped him and grabbed the belt. When Cena looked scared and begged, Cody hesitated. Then Cena hit him with a low blow and used the belt to win the match.

It was a basic match, but not very exciting for a main event.
