The Worlds Times: Explain your background and “WOLVES DEN” in detail.

Valery Kolganov:  My name is Valery Kolganov, and I have been deeply immersed in the tournament organization industry for over a decade now. My journey began with a passion for sports and a strong desire to create exciting and memorable experiences for the gaming community. I have expertise to organizing and hosting tournaments. One of the highlights of my career was the League of Legends ISC tournament, where I successfully orchestrated a highly competitive event with an impressive prize pool exceeding $1,000.

As the founder of Wolvesden, I am driven by the vision of creating a thriving esports community, where individuals from diverse backgrounds can come together, collaborate, and elevate the industry to new heights. I believe that by fostering a sense of camaraderie and providing valuable opportunities, we can empower esports enthusiasts to pursue their passions and unlock their full potential.

Another milestone in my journey was the creation of the LOL Israel Cup. This event was a testament to the power of esports and its ability to captivate audiences.

Creating opportunities for aspiring esports professionals and creating Wolvesden. By organizing tournaments, I aim to provide a platform for players to shine and pursue their dreams within the competitive gaming landscape.

My journey in the tournament organization industry has been one of continuous growth, learning, and an unwavering commitment to advancing esports. I am excited about the future of this industry and the possibilities that lie ahead for Wolvesden and the entire esports community.

Our primary objective is to create a united platform where individuals from diverse communities can come together and collaborate to advance the esports industry while enjoying their shared passion.

Wolves Den emerged as the solution, offering a home where individuals from different backgrounds can work together towards common objectives.

At Wolves Den, we strive to provide a variety of opportunities for esports enthusiasts to thrive. One of our key endeavors is organizing tournaments and events that bring the community together, allowing individuals to showcase their skills and compete in a supportive environment. The Worlds Times: What are your goals?

Valery Kolganov: My goals, both personally and for Wolvesden, are centered around the growth and development of the esports industry.

Personally, I am committed to continuously expanding my knowledge and expertise in tournament organization. I strive to stay at the forefront of emerging trends and technologies in esports, ensuring that Wolvesden remains innovative and adaptable in an ever-evolving landscape. Additionally, I aim to build a strong network of industry professionals, fostering collaborations and partnerships that can further elevate the impact of Wolvesden and our initiatives.

Our primary goal is to establish ourselves as a leading organization in the esports community in Israel, providing a home for esports enthusiasts and a platform for aspiring professionals to flourish. We aim to foster a sense of community and belonging, breaking down barriers and uniting individuals from diverse backgrounds under a shared passion for esports.

Expansion into more games: Currently our main focus is the game Valorant.  We aim to broaden our reach and cater to a wider range of gaming communities. By expanding into additional games, we can provide more opportunities for players to showcase their skills and connect with like-minded individuals. This will not only diversify our offerings but also attract a broader audience, fostering a more inclusive and vibrant esports community.

Securing sponsorships: Finding sponsors for our organization is crucial for the growth and development of Wolvesden. With sponsor support, we can enhance the overall experience for our players, providing them with better resources, equipment, and facilities to excel in their respective games. Additionally, sponsorships will enable us to offer more significant prizes, scholarships, and other opportunities for aspiring individuals, further fueling their passion and ambition within the esports industry.

Shaping the future of esports: We aspire to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of esports, contributing to its continued success and impact on a broader scale. This involves actively participating in industry discussions, collaborating with key stakeholders, and advocating for positive changes within the esports ecosystem. We strive to promote inclusivity, diversity, and fairness in esports, ensuring that it remains accessible and welcoming to all individuals, regardless of their background or identity.

The Worlds Times: What do you feel is the biggest strength of “WOLVES DEN” right now?

Valery Kolganov: The biggest strength of Wolves Den at this moment is our unwavering passion, our team and dedication to the esports community. We are fueled by a deep love for esports and a genuine desire to create a positive and inclusive environment for players, fans, and aspiring professionals.

The Worlds Times: What was the path you took to get to where you are today?

Valery Kolganov: The path that led me to where I am today has been a personal journey fueled by my deep passion, determination, and love for the esports industry.

Gaming has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. From the early days of playing iconic games like Doom and Wolfenstein to immersing myself in strategic experiences like Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and Warcraft, my love for gaming only grew stronger. However, it was the advent of League of Legends that truly captured my heart and ignited my passion for esports.

A pivotal moment occurred for me in 2015 during the EU LCS Semifinals match between Fnatic and Unicorns of Love. I had the opportunity to attend the event with my friends, and the atmosphere was absolutely electrifying. The sheer excitement, passion, and energy emanating from the crowd left an indelible mark on me. In that moment, I knew that I wanted to recreate such experiences for players and fans alike.

Motivated by this realization, I began working closely with local communities, collaborating on events that would replicate the same electrifying atmosphere. Notable among these events were the LOL ISC Championship and the LOL Israel Cup. Through these endeavors, I witnessed firsthand the impact that well-organized tournaments could have on the esports scene, uniting players and fans in a shared celebration of the game.

Inspired by these experiences, I knew that I wanted to take the next step and create something even bigger. This led me to establish my own organization, one that would bring the same level of hype and excitement to Israel like never before. It became my mission to build a platform that would not only provide thrilling esports events but also foster a sense of community, camaraderie, and growth among players and enthusiasts.

The Worlds Times: Why did you start “WOLVES DEN”?

Valery Kolganov:  I founded Wolvesden with the aim of addressing the fragmented nature of esports communities in Israel. I observed that many individuals and groups were creating small, isolated spaces for themselves within the gaming industry. While their intentions were admirable, this decentralized approach hindered the growth and cohesion of esports as a whole.

Recognizing the need for a centralized hub that could bring together the diverse esports communities in Israel, I embarked on the mission to create Wolvesden. My vision was to establish a home—a family—for esports enthusiasts, where they could not only compete but also find a sense of belonging, support, and camaraderie.

By providing a unified platform, Wolvesden enables players, teams, and fans from various games and communities to come together. This collaborative environment fosters growth, connectivity, and the exchange of ideas, ultimately driving the transformation of the esports industry in Israel.

My decision to undertake this endeavor on my own was driven by the belief that unity and collective effort yield far greater results than individual pursuits. Rather than perpetuating the fragmentation, Wolvesden embraces the concept of togetherness, emphasizing that by working collectively, we can reshape the esports landscape in Israel for the better.

At Wolvesden, we understand the power of collaboration and recognize that the strength of our community lies in our shared passion for esports. By providing a central home for esports and competitive players, we aspire to facilitate growth, encourage professional development, and ultimately elevate the esports industry to new heights.

Why go it alone when we can achieve so much more together? Wolvesden is founded on this principle, and through our united efforts, we aim to create an inclusive, thriving ecosystem that benefits all esports enthusiasts in Israel.

The Worlds Times: What have been the biggest challenges you’ve had to overcome during the journey of your leadership?

Valery Kolganov:  The biggest challenges I’ve had to overcome are creating a foundation for everything to take place at and finding the best way for Wolvesden to do it, Navigating Limited Resources because we are doing everything possible with only limited resources and the biggest hurdle is Building Credibility and Trust of our players, because we are new organization in the industry it took a long time to create the trust and credibility for our players to know they can play and rely on us to keep our promises and fair judgment during our tournaments and events.

The Worlds Times: Give us one word that describes you the best.

Valery Kolganov: Passionate.

The Worlds Times: What do you value the most about “WOLVES DEN” vision?

Valery Kolganov:  Why go it alone when we can achieve so much more together?
Our vision at Wolvesden is our care for our community and to listen to the community and improve with them, if there is toxicity – we remove it instantly.

If there is feedback – we listen to it and improve accordingly.

If there are ideas – we listen and take action accordingly!

The Worlds Times: What are the strategies of “WOLVES DEN” and how do you stand unique from your competitors?

Valery Kolganov: We are home for players to show their skills and a place to listen for their desires and help them make them reality.

The strategies are usual as everyone – make content, bring people, get sponsors and grow. There is no need to change what works, yet the biggest difference I believe we bring to the table is unity.

We don’t stop at one game, we don’t stop to listen to one person, we don’t stop and try many things to find out what works best.

Why focus on League of Legends when you can host League, Valorant and FiFa.

Why host tournaments for yourself when we want the world to watch – so we started casting.

Why focus on Israel when the world is huge – so we are hosting Global tournaments and having players from different countries such as Turkey, Russia, Israel, Egypt and more!

The Worlds Times: What are the key values which helped you to overcome the challenges in your path? Tell us something about your memorable incident in your leadership?

Valery Kolganov: That’s an excellent question.

As I’ve said in a few questions before the big incident that changed my way to create Wolvesden was LCS 2015.
The biggest values I get to overcome the challenges in my path are the smiles and thanks from our players.

For me there is nothing better than to receive a message from the players that participated in our tournaments – regardless if they won or lost – saying “Thank you”, “Can’t wait to come again”, “We will be back next month”.

It brings empowerment to me and my team to make the events consistent, better and bigger!

If I have to give a specific incident, it was around a year back, a player named Jesse contacted me in discord regarding our tournaments, back then we were small and still barely known, reaching 20 teams registered max.

He offered to cast our Valorant tournaments just for the experience and his portfolio.

It was amazing for me to see a desire, passion and commitment from someone like that, and a year passed. Jesse is hosting not only our tournaments but also some of the biggest tournaments in the Netherlands.

Seeing someone from our community grow to such heights is inspiring for me and our team and helps us push forward 🙂

The Worlds Times: How do you see “WOLVES DEN” changing in two years, and how do you see yourself creating that change?

Valery Kolganov: In two years our biggest change is the size of the organization and the games we are in.

From next month we are going to work with local League communities to open League of Legends and we are looking into other different games (some of them still in development).

I see us growing and expanding, hosting the biggest and most impressive tournaments in Israel and working with amazing people, both as sponsors and passionate individuals who will take opportunity and work with us to realize their dreams.

I see myself making this change by being open and taking every opportunity presented to me and the org, reaching to different corners of the world for the opportunities and never giving up! Because Esport is in our blood and we will make it happen!

The Worlds Times: What benefits are people getting from “WOLVES DEN” in this competitive world?

Valery Kolganov: It is a really broad question and I’ll answer it separately.
For players – we are hosting monthly tournaments in different games; the benefits are playing competitively which gives you experience of a competitive environment you can’t feel in the game itself.

You have a team who listens and takes your feedback into account and they have a place to speak out and connect to players outside their zone as our tournaments are global.

For passionate individuals we are having a warm home to help you grow, thinking about being a streamer, caster, analyzer, observer, coach, video editor or anything related to the Esport scene which is huge. We will give you a place to shine and let the people know you took part in our organization and team!

And lastly – the biggest benefit – we are consistent.

Our tournaments are once a month, we have been here for 2 years already and not going anywhere. Wovlesden will grow and stay so there will be no worry for it to disappear 🙂

The Worlds Times: Would you like to say anything else to our viewers?

Valery Kolganov: On behalf of Wolves Den, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to “The Worlds Times” for providing us with this opportunity to share about our organization. We appreciate the platform to spread the word about Wolves Den and invite more individuals to be part of our vibrant community.
