An Interview With Charlie Nahabedian
VK Digital Health was founded to tackle one of healthcare’s biggest challenges—limited access to quality, affordable, and continuous care. By integrating telehealth with remote diagnostics, robotics, and patient monitoring into a unified platform, it goes far beyond traditional virtual consultations. Designed to reduce inefficiencies, enhance clinical accuracy, and ease the burden on healthcare providers, the platform creates a seamless care experience. With a strong foundation in connectivity and scalable technology, VK Digital Health is shaping a future where comprehensive healthcare is accessible anytime, anywhere.
Bridging the Healthcare Access Gap
We started the interview by asking, “What inspired you to launch VK Digital Health, and what gap were you aiming to fill in healthcare?”
Charlie Nahabedian replied, “The inspiration came from recognizing that patients often struggle getting access to quality healthcare, while providers face inefficiencies. Also noted was how fragmented and expensive outpatient care had become. At VK Digital Health, we set out to bridge that gap by combining telehealth, remote diagnostics, robotics, patient monitoring and care management into one seamless platform. The goal is simple; make healthcare more accessible, affordable, and continuous, while empowering providers to deliver better outcomes more efficiently, without increasing operational strain.”
Beyond Traditional Telehealth
The Worlds Times: How is VK Digital Health different from traditional telehealth solutions?
Charlie Nahabedian replied, “Most telehealth platforms focus only on video consultations with unsubstantiated vital signs measurements from patients. We go much further by integrating remote physical exam tools, diagnostics, and medication adherence systems into a single ecosystem—basically, taking a patient-operated clinic to the patient. To do that, we need to satisfy basic clinician requirements and incorporate human factors designs into the clinic. Our technology allows providers to conduct more comprehensive evaluations robotically and remotely, creating a true continuum of care. The platforms all interface with the providers’ EHR/EMRs. This not only improves clinical accuracy and efficiency, but also enhances patient trust and engagement, which are critical for long-term healthcare success.”
Empowering Hospitals & Providers
The Worlds Times: What impact do you see VK Digital Health having on hospitals and healthcare providers?
Charlie Nahabedian replied, “Hospitals today are under immense pressure to reduce costs while improving patient care, especially in rural areas and for recently discharged patients. Our platform helps reduce re-admission penalties, optimize resource utilization for non-critical cases to remote care solutions, and relieving high-demand areas like emergency rooms where the cost of treating non-critical cases is astronomical. These minimally staffed clinics extend hospital services opening new revenue streams including cross-service integration. Ultimately, we help providers become more efficient, competitive, and better connected to and present in the communities they can serve.”
Telecom-Driven Healthcare Innovation
The Worlds Times: With your background in telecom and technology, how has that shaped your approach to digital healthcare?
Charlie Nahabedian replied, “My experience in telecom taught me the power of connectivity, reliable operations, and scalable systems. Healthcare, in many ways, is still catching up regarding use of the “intelligent telecom network”. At VK Digital Health, we’ve applied those principles to build a reliable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure that supports real-time clinical interactions. It’s about leveraging technology not just for convenience, but to fundamentally improve how care is reliably and economically delivered and experienced.”
Shaping the Future of Connected Care
Lastly we asked, “What is your vision for the future of telehealth and VK Digital Health’s role in it?”
“Telehealth will remain a supplementary service. But the improvements we are making to its inadequacies will become a core part of healthcare delivery. Our vision is to lead that transformation by providing a fully integrated care model that extends beyond consultations into diagnostics, screening, monitoring, and long-term patient engagement. Our product line will meet the needs of various market segments and demographic environments including mobile clinics, stationary smart clinic chairs and smart clinic cabins, as well as indoor units. Each clinic will become a “node” of the provider. As we move toward full market introduction, we’re focused on scaling and driving impact – making high-quality healthcare available wherever people live, work, or travel.” Charlie Nahabedian concluded
