The singer was dressed as a groom, per a ritual adhered to in Punjab after a young single male dies.

Countless mourners on Tuesday lined the roadways for the cremation of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, who was fired dead over the weekend. He was 28.

The vocalist was dressed as a groom, per a routine followed in Punjab after a young single male dies, and his body was taken for cremation on a cart decorated with flowers and drawn by a tractor – apparently the vocalist’s much-loved one.

Images showed a turban was tied on the singer’s head along with a sehra, which a Punjabi groom puts on before leaving for the bride-to-be’s home. The singer’s daddy, Balkour Singh, was also seen fixing his boy’s moustache.

The singer’s final song, “The Last Ride”, consisted of the line: “The radiance on the male’s face tells you that he’ll pass away young.”

That song was a homage to American rapper Tupac Shakur, who was shot dead in his auto in 1996 at the age of 25.

The vocalist’s parents were heartbroken as they sat beside the body at their home.

Reports say the moms and dads had been preparing for their kid’s wedding celebration.

Several of the singer’s fans put on Tees with Moose Wala’s picture printed on them. The singer’s dad also removed his bandana on seeing the sea of mourners.

The police have linked the vocalist’s death to inter-gang competition.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, called Sidhu Moose Wala, was shot dead on Sunday by unknown shooters in Punjab’s Mansa area. His relative and also a close friend, who were taking a trip in a Mahindra Thar jeep with him, were likewise wounded in the attack.

On Monday, Punjab Cops detained 6 people from Uttarakhand.

The preferred Punjabi singer had combated the recent setting up political election in Punjab on a Congress ticket.
