Tata team had previously introduced Turkey’s Ilker Ayci as the chief executive of Air India, but that consultation was met a great deal of resistance in India.
Because of this, Turkey’s Ilker Ayci had declined to be the chief executive of Tata’s Air India.
Mr Chandrasekaran is the Chairman of Tata Sons, the holding company and promoter of more than 100 Tata operating business. He joined the Board of Tata Sons in October 2016 and was assigned Chairman in January 2017.
He also chairs the Boards of a number of team operating firms, including Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Power, and Tata Working As A Consultant Solutions (TCS)– of which he was Chief Executive Officer from 2009-17.
His visit as Chairman complied with a 30-year organization career at TCS, which he joined from college. He climbed with the rankings at TCS to become chief executive officer as well as Handling Supervisor of the leading international IT remedy and consulting company.
