Ali Zaidi replied, “Aafiya was established in 2013 with the goal of revolutionizing the health insurance sector in the Middle East and bridging the gaps between insurance companies, network providers, and policyholders. Staying true to our mission of ‘Simplifying the healthcare journey,’ Aafiya strives to provide solutions catering to the needs of our stakeholders. Some of the services that we offer are Risk Assesment, Network Management, Pre-authorization, Claims Management, Call center, DAHAB services, Healthcare Assistance, and more.
I’ve been working in this industry for two decades across the Middle East and India. With this experience, I have developed expertise in improving organizational performance, creating strong strategic initiatives, driving business growth and expanding to new territories.
As the General Manager in my current role, I have successfully built and led a skilled team of managers and associates, offering dedicated support to a portfolio of over 10 leading insurance companies in the UAE. Additionally, I have cultivated strong relationships with reinsurance companies, brokers and healthcare providers in the region, enhancing our ability to provide exceptional services to our clients.”

As a leader, it is my responsibility to inspire and guide my team in bringing our vision of Being the First Choice TPA the health insurance sector and simplifying the healthcare journey into tangible, impactful results.
This involves setting clear goals and fostering collaboration that positively impacts our stakeholders and the healthcare industry. It’s not just about managing day-to-day operations but actively pursuing and achieving our vision. Our goal is to lead the industry by providing exceptional services and continuously working towards making our vision a thriving reality for all those we serve.”

As the General Manager, I envision this mission being achieved through innovative strategies that streamline healthcare processes and eliminate unnecessary complexity. This includes leveraging technology such as our in-house claim management system, Reiaya, powered by AI, and the Aafiya Mobile App, which serves as a one-stop solution for all policy-related information.

Technology integration is central to our strategy, as we leverage cutting-edge healthcare digital solutions in our Mobile Application, Pharmacy Benefit Management Portal, and Pro Connect (Network Provider Portal) to streamline processes and enhance convenience. Additionally, our robust network of healthcare providers ensures that our members have access to quality healthcare services through a diverse range of options.
We uphold transparency and ethical standards to promote trust and confidence among our members and stakeholders. Furthermore, as an ADHICS certified TPA, we adhere to sector-level standards by the Department of Health, ensuring the privacy and security of healthcare information.”

Lastly we asked, “What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?”
“My advice to other entrepreneurs is to stay focused on your vision, persist through challenges, and never stop learning. Embrace innovation and be open to new ideas, as they can lead to unexpected opportunities.
