Inspiration behind Be a Warrior in Business

We started the interview by asking, “What inspired you to write “Be a Warrior in Business”, and how does the book reflect your personal and professional journey as a leader?”

Rita Singh replied, “The inspiration behind “Be a Warrior in Business” came from my decades-long journey of overcoming challenges, embracing change, and helping organizations reinvent themselves. In business, every leader faces battles whether it’s navigating economic downturns, entering new markets, or managing cultural transformations. I wanted to share not only the lessons I learned but also practical strategies that empower leaders to face adversity with courage and resilience. The book mirrors my personal and professional path, where I often had to step into uncharted territory, trust my instincts, and lead with both strength and empathy. It reflects my belief that leadership is not about titles, it’s about creating impact, driving innovation, and building resilient teams. Through my story and experiences, I hope to inspire others to find their inner warrior and lead with confidence, regardless of the obstacles they face.”

Leading Companies

The Worlds Times: You’ve led S&A Consulting Group for over 35 years. What key strategies have you used to help companies succeed during periods of transformation or market entry?

Rita Singh replied, “At S&A Consulting Group, our success has come from combining deep financial expertise with forward-thinking leadership strategies. One of the key approaches has been re-engineering operations and implementing innovative cash flow solutions that provide companies with stability during uncertain times. We also focus on aligning strategy with culture helping organizations embrace change rather than resist it. For market entry, we emphasize understanding the value proposition and tailoring business models to local dynamics while maintaining global competitiveness. Strategic alliances, cross-functional collaboration, and building strong leadership pipelines have also been critical. We don’t just advise companies; we partner with them to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and implement sustainable growth strategies. By creating clear roadmaps and fostering adaptability, we’ve enabled businesses to thrive during transformation, expand into international markets, and unlock new levels of performance. The combination of financial discipline and visionary leadership has been our foundation for long-term success.”

Building a Warrior Mindset in Business

The Worlds Times: In today’s unpredictable business environment, how can leaders ensure their organizations are prepared to handle any challenge that arises?

Rita Singh replied, “In today’s rapidly changing and often unpredictable business landscape, success requires more than just a strong product or service—it demands resilience, adaptability, and strategic leadership. In Be a Warrior in Business, Rita and Nipendra Singh emphasize the importance of adopting a “warrior mindset.” This means preparing your organization for challenges in advance, building strong and resilient teams, and leading with courage and clarity during uncertain times. Just as warriors train for battle, business leaders must cultivate mental agility, strategic thinking, and the ability to respond quickly to market shifts or unexpected obstacles. By blending decades of entrepreneurial experience with practical leadership principles, the Singhs provide a blueprint that empowers leaders—from emerging entrepreneurs to seasoned CEOs—to navigate adversity, strengthen their organizational culture, and transform challenges into opportunities for long-term success.”

Advancing Gender Equality in Entrepreneurship

The Worlds Times: Through Elite Women Around the World®, you’ve worked to economically uplift women globally. What systemic changes do you believe are essential for lasting gender equality in entrepreneurship?

Rita Singh replied, “Lasting gender equality in entrepreneurship requires both structural and cultural shifts. First, access to capital must be broadened too often, women entrepreneurs face funding gaps despite having strong business ideas. Creating more inclusive investment ecosystems is critical. Second, mentorship and leadership development programs must be expanded to equip women with skills, networks, and confidence to compete at global levels. Third, corporate and policy frameworks need to embrace diversity and inclusivity, ensuring women have equal opportunities to lead, innovate, and scale businesses. At Elite Women around the World®, we’ve seen how education, strategic networking, and collaborative platforms can empower women to break barriers and achieve economic independence. True equality isn’t just about representation it’s about creating environments where women can thrive without limitations. By working together governments, businesses, and communities we can build ecosystems that value women’s contributions and make entrepreneurship a sustainable path for future generations.”

Developing Leaders at Every Stage

The Worlds Times: How do you approach leadership development differently when working with emerging entrepreneurs versus established executives?

Rita Singh replied, “Leadership development must be tailored to where individuals are in their journey. For emerging entrepreneurs, the focus is often on building a strong foundation developing confidence, learning how to make informed decisions, and cultivating resilience. We guide them through practical aspects like business planning, financial management, and navigating uncertainty, while instilling the importance of visionary thinking. On the other hand, with established executives, the focus shifts to transformation, refining leadership styles, fostering innovation, and driving organizational change. Many seasoned leaders need to unlearn old habits and embrace adaptability in today’s fast-changing environment. We also work on emotional intelligence, cross-cultural leadership, and mentoring future leaders. My approach is rooted in active listening and tailoring strategies to individual needs. Whether it’s an entrepreneur building their first venture or a CEO leading thousands, the ultimate goal is to help them grow as authentic, resilient leaders who create long-term impact.”

Fostering Resilience and Innovation

The Worlds Times: You’ve been described as a visionary executive and a changemaker who coaches leaders to evolve and manage transformation. How do you cultivate resilience and innovation within organizations across such diverse industries and leadership levels?

Rita Singh replied, “Resilience and innovation begin with mindset. I encourage leaders and organizations to see change not as a disruption, but as an opportunity. Cultivating resilience involves building strong teams, clear communication, and creating a culture where challenges are viewed as stepping stones to growth. At the same time, innovation is fueled by curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to experiment. I emphasize cross-functional teamwork, where diverse perspectives lead to creative solutions. Across industries, whether small businesses or multinational corporations, I work with leaders to strengthen agility, teaching them to anticipate shifts and adapt quickly. Another key element is aligning vision with purpose; when individuals see their work as meaningful, they become more resilient and innovative. By combining financial acumen, strategic foresight, and human-centric leadership, I help organizations not just survive transitions, but thrive in them turning uncertainty into pathways for long-term, sustainable success.”

Financial Discipline in Entrepreneurship

The Worlds Times: How does your background as a CPA influence your perspective on entrepreneurship and financial sustainability for businesses today?

Rita Singh replied, “My background as a CPA has been invaluable in shaping how I view entrepreneurship and sustainability. Sound financial management is the backbone of any successful business. I’ve seen many promising ventures fail not because of a lack of vision, but because of poor financial discipline. Being a CPA allows me to bring analytical rigor, risk awareness, and cash flow strategies into entrepreneurial conversations. I emphasize to leaders that innovation and creativity must always be balanced with financial responsibility. Sustainability isn’t just about profit; it’s about building resilient systems that can weather economic fluctuations, support growth, and create long-term value. As a CPA and entrepreneur, I bring both perspectives ensuring leaders can dream big while maintaining financial stability. This balance enables organizations to scale effectively, attract investment, and position themselves for success in a highly competitive global economy.”

Advice for the Next Generation

Lastly we asked, “What advice would you give to the next generation of women entrepreneurs who are stepping into leadership roles in a rapidly changing global economy?”

My advice to the next generation of women entrepreneurs is to embrace your unique strengths and never underestimate your potential. The business world is changing rapidly, and women have an incredible opportunity to shape its future. Be bold in your vision, but also disciplined in your execution. Build strong networks, seek mentors, and continuously invest in your own growth because leadership is a lifelong journey. Don’t be afraid of failure; every setback is a lesson that strengthens resilience. Most importantly, lead with authenticity and empathy, qualities that are increasingly vital in today’s interconnected world. As women, we also carry the responsibility of paving the way for others. Lift as you climb and create opportunities for those who follow. The world needs more women leaders who can innovate, inspire, and transform. Believe in yourself, stay adaptable, and remember you are not just running a business, you are creating a legacy.” Rita Singh concluded
