Seema Balwani Interview

Some careers are built through ambition. Others, through purpose. For Seema Balwani, it’s been both. She is a former finance leader at Procter & Gamble who spent years mastering numbers, structure, and strategy. Later on, when she took a break to focus on her family and eventually returned to the corporate world, her perspective was different. She switched to the real estate industry, which was not an easy or an obvious choice. It was a challenge; she had self-doubts and uncertainties. However, with time and experience, she realized that this path aligned deeply with her values, her way of thinking, and her desire to create meaningful impact.

Today, as the Associate Director at Xperience Realty, Seema Balwani brings a rare blend of financial discipline and emotional intelligence to Dubai’s dynamic real estate scene. Her story shows courage, clarity, and the quiet confidence that comes from knowing you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

The Career Transition That Shaped Her Path

Before real estate ever entered the picture, Seema Balwani spent 14 years at Procter & Gamble, one of the world’s largest FMCG giants. She led complex finance functions across Brand Financial Management, Corporate Treasury, and Regional Profit Forecasting. Her work helped guide key business decisions and supported growth across Europe, India, the Middle East, and Africa.

But beyond the spreadsheets and forecasts, she also found her calling in leadership and mentorship. As the Regional Diversity SPOC for P&G, she helped create inclusive workplaces, supported young professionals, and drove initiatives that made corporate life more meaningful.

Then she made a decision that takes a lot of courage for any professional. She took a break from her career.

In 2018, Seema stepped away from her high-powered role to focus fully on family. “Becoming a full-time mom was one of the most rewarding chapters of my life,” she reflects. The experience redefined her understanding of balance, patience, and purpose. When the time came to return to work, she knew she wanted to build something that blended intellect with impact. That’s how her journey in real estate began.

Where Seema Found Her Belonging

When Seema re-entered the corporate world, she didn’t simply return to what she knew. She chose something new and challenging. Real estate had always fascinated her: the way spaces could make people feel, how they became extensions of identity, and how each home told a story.

“Real estate felt like the perfect intersection. It allowed me to bring together my analytical side and my love for meaningful connections.” Seema stated.

Her goal wasn’t just to sell homes. Seema’s mission was to help people. She wanted to help them find a sense of belonging in Dubai, a city that is constantly evolving. And while the real estate world in Dubai moves fast and can be challenging, she didn’t let that stop her. Her authenticity and passion were what helped her overcome the challenges that came.

Her approach, like her background, is rooted in structure and empathy. Having been born and raised in Dubai for over 43 years, she saw the city get transformed into a global hub, and it inspired her. This perspective makes her such a trusted advisor to clients navigating the fast-paced Dubai property landscape.

A Quiet Moment of Clarity

There’s one story that still defines Seema’s sense of purpose. It wasn’t a record-breaking project or a luxury villa deal. It was a simple sentence that held so much meaning. She had helped a young family, who weren’t high-net-worth clients or seasoned investors. They were just two people looking to find a place where they felt they belonged in a city that constantly evolved. And when she helped them get their dream home, “You made this feel so easy,” is what the wife told her when they got the keys.

That moment became a milestone and a reminder that success in real estate isn’t measured by size, but by sincerity. After years in corporate finance and a long personal break, Seema’s transition into property came with its share of doubts. But moments like that replaced doubt with direction.

Standing Apart in a Competitive Market

Dubai’s real estate market moves fast, and Seema had noticed this growing up. For newcomers, it can feel crowded, transactional, and overwhelming. Seema Balwani saw that firsthand and decided to do things differently.

“Early on, I realized authenticity stands out,” she says. Instead of chasing attention, she focused on creating clarity. Instead of competing through noise, she competed through knowledge. She wanted to create meaningful connections and be a trusted advisor.

That philosophy has earned her repeat clients, lasting relationships, and trust, which is the real currency of her work.

True Vision in Real Estate

Seema Balwani’s real estate career has a simple philosophy that clarity builds confidence, and confidence builds value. Her approach is the result of her life and understanding of the city, people, and a structured way of thinking rooted in her finance background. Seema believes that real estate is about responsibility, education, and helping clients feel secure in their decisions.

She focuses on data-backed insights, trends, and market performance to guide her clients. However, apart from that, she understands their needs and what would be valuable to them. That is how she has built credibility and authenticity in the market. As she says, “Transparency builds trust, and trust builds everything else.”

While she is part of Xperience Realty, Seema’s work is defined by her own principles: thoughtful guidance, clear communication, and a commitment to helping people. Her vision remains on meaningful relationships and long-term impact, and this turns every property decision into a journey that’s built on trust and transparency.

Empowering Women, Enriching Futures

Looking ahead, Seema envisions a future where women have greater access to real estate investment opportunities. Having experienced firsthand how property ownership brings independence and confidence, she aims to create a dedicated fund that enables women to invest in Dubai’s growing property market.

“I want more women to feel the same sense of empowerment that real estate gave me,” she says. “For me, it isn’t only about buying property. It is about building security, confidence and possibility.”

She aims to support women by sharing knowledge, offering honest guidance, and creating pathways that make real estate investment easier and more approachable.

A Life Rooted in Purpose

In every part of her journey, from finance to real estate, Seema Balwani has carried the same core belief that real work begins when you help someone feel understood, supported, and confident.

At Xperience Realty, she’s found not just a workplace, but a platform that amplifies that belief. Together, they’re setting a higher standard for what real estate advisory in Dubai can look like: transparent, thoughtful, and human.

Her story shows that one doesn’t need to follow a straight career path to find meaning. Sometimes, they should just evolve as they go and find a path they truly find meaningful.
