Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce are getting married!
The couple, who started dating in July 2023, shared their engagement news on Aug. 26 with photos on Instagram. The pictures showed Kelce proposing in a garden, and fans also got a close look at Swift’s gold ring with a diamond, designed with Artifex Fine Jewelry. Swift captioned the post: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
She also added her song “So High School” to the post — a track many fans believe is about Kelce.
Their love story has been one of the most talked about in pop culture. It began when Kelce tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number during her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City in July 2023. Although he didn’t succeed, the story went viral. By September, Swift was spotted cheering at one of his football games, and soon the two became inseparable.
Over the past two years, Swift has supported Kelce on the field — including at the Super Bowl — and Kelce has joined her on stage during concerts. Both have spoken openly about their relationship, saying they are proud of each other and that their romance feels natural despite the constant media attention.
Recently, Kelce even helped Swift announce her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, on his podcast. Looking back on their beginning, Swift joked that his bold attempt with the friendship bracelet was exactly the kind of romantic gesture she dreamed about as a teenager.
He didn’t manage to give her a bracelet back then — but now, he’s given her a ring.
