Known for his strategic mindset and ability to deliver results in complex environments, Mustafa continues to shape the region’s real estate landscape with innovation, integrity, and long-term vision.
Uniting global expertise
We started the interview by asking, “Your background includes leading major real estate programs across Europe and East Africa. How does that experience influence what you’re building in Somaliland today?”
Mustafa Suldan replied, “I’ve spent over 20 years delivering large-scale real estate programs, including managing $100M+ projects and leading high-quality gated community developments across East Africa. I’ve overseen full execution cycles — concept development, technical strategy, off-plan sales, project management, and delivery — while building high-performance teams from the ground up. I also played a leading role in shaping one of East Africa’s largest real estate master plans valued at over $1 billion.
This experience enables me to bring discipline, structure, and customer-obsessed execution into Somaliland’s evolving construction market.”
Creating Long-Term Value in a Market
The Worlds Times: Somaliland’s market is still young and largely informal. What motivates you to work here?
Mustafa Suldan replied, “Somaliland has huge potential but historically lacked systems and structured processes. I see that as an opportunity. My drive is to introduce professionalism, transparency, and disciplined delivery to a market ready for its next stage of growth. Having worked in environments led by strong standards, I aim to bring that same development DNA into Somaliland to help redefine expectations and elevate quality.”
Delivering World-Class Projects
The Worlds Times: What sets Fair Construction apart from other developers?
Mustafa Suldan replied, “Fair Construction operates on three core pillars: quality, innovation, and integrity. What truly differentiates us is the discipline behind our delivery — international standards, clear documentation, strict supervision, and transparency throughout each project. We serve all client segments, from affordable homes to high-end villas, with the same level of professionalism. Exceeding $1M in our first year reflects the market’s trust in our reliable and consistent execution.”
Balancing Scale with Precision & Purpose
The Worlds Times: You’ve managed both multi-million-dollar developments and smaller residential projects. How do you balance the two?
Mustafa Suldan replied, “The principles remain the same. Large-scale developments strengthened my ability in strategy, risk management, and stakeholder coordination. Smaller projects keep me close to technical details and customer experience. Whether managing a $100K project or a major program, I rely on discipline, engineering accuracy, daily reporting, and strong supervision to ensure quality.”
Driving Growth through Vision
The Worlds Times: What would you say is the biggest value you bring to Somaliland’s real estate sector?
Mustafa Suldan replied, “I bring structure — systems, standards, documentation, performance culture, and a zero-shortcut philosophy. My contribution is focused on elevating the market so construction is executed correctly rather than informally. This shift improves quality, protects customers, and strengthens Somaliland’s credibility.”
Building Tomorrow’s Somaliland
Lastly we asked, “As Somaliland looks toward modern urban planning initiatives, what excites you most?”
“Somaliland is entering a new phase where structured planning, zoning, and infrastructure-led community development will become essential. Having worked on major gated communities and master planning environments, I understand their impact. I’m excited because Somaliland is now ready for this level of structure, and Fair Construction is positioned to support this evolution through disciplined, high-standard delivery.” Mustafa Suldan concluded
