Bear Grylls is best known as a world-famous adventurer, but his latest challenge is very different. Instead of climbing mountains or surviving in the wild, he is now focused on entrepreneurship. He is investing in new businesses, supporting young founders, and helping people live healthier and happier lives.

Grylls has invested in two companies: Water2, a water filtration company, and Organised, a nutrition brand that sells beef-organ supplements. He also mentors the founders behind these businesses. For Grylls, choosing the right people matters more than anything else. He believes success comes from backing people with good values and a clear purpose. Even so, he admits that starting a business is extremely risky — and in many ways, harder than climbing Mount Everest.

Throughout his life, Grylls has taken major risks. Early in his career with the British Special Air Service, he broke his back in a skydiving accident. Instead of giving up, he recovered and went on to climb Mount Everest just 18 months later, becoming the youngest British person to reach the summit at the time.

These experiences helped shape his next steps. In 2000, he published his first book, which led to a successful writing and television career. He starred in popular shows like Man vs. Wild and Running Wild with Bear Grylls. He also wrote bestselling books, including his autobiography Mud, Sweat and Tears, children’s adventure stories, an action series, and a recent book retelling the story of Jesus — a book he says he is most proud of.

Along the way, Grylls also built several adventure-based businesses, such as Bear Grylls Ventures and Bear Grylls Survival Academy. More recently, he has moved beyond outdoor brands to support consumer products that improve everyday life.

One of these businesses is Water2, founded in 2023 by young entrepreneur Charles Robinson. Robinson first sold hand sanitizer during the COVID-19 pandemic. After that, he focused on a bigger issue: poor-quality tap water and the world’s heavy reliance on bottled water, which harms the environment.

Water2 makes a small water filter that fits under the kitchen sink. It removes harmful substances such as lead, chlorine, heavy metals, and microplastics, giving people cleaner, better-tasting tap water. The system is easy to install and helps reduce plastic waste by cutting down the need for bottled water.

Grylls discovered Water2 through his son, who saw the company online. After trying the product himself and meeting Robinson, Grylls decided to invest. Clean water, he says, is essential — whether you are surviving outdoors or living at home.

Grylls believes Water2 and Organised stand out because they help people live better while also caring for the planet. As he puts it, when you focus on helping others, success usually follows.

For Bear Grylls, entrepreneurship may be risky, but it is a challenge worth taking.

Bear Grylls helped create Water2’s latest product, a new filtered showerhead. This showerhead removes up to 90% of chlorine, filters out heavy metals and microplastics, improves water pressure, and stops limescale from building up.

This product is important to Grylls on a personal level. Both he and his son have sensitive skin, and filtered water helps improve their skin health. Because of this, he wanted to be directly involved in the project.

The Water2 showerhead sells for $136 and includes a filter that lasts 90 days. It competes with the Jolie showerhead, which costs $165. Jolie focuses mainly on beauty, while Water2 is aimed at overall health and wellness.

At the moment, Water2 filters are used in around 200,000 homes in the UK. The company plans to expand into the U.S. market. While the founder, Robinson, wants to grow Water2 into a billion-dollar company, Grylls says money is not the main goal.

He explains that success means more than profits. What matters most is the team, the community, and the mission. His aim is to help people live happier, healthier, and more adventurous lives.

Another company that caught Grylls’ attention is Organised, a nutrition brand founded by Niall Kiddle. Organised makes protein powder from organ meats like liver, heart, and kidney. These foods were part of the human diet for thousands of years but are rarely eaten today.

The protein powder provides important nutrients without the unpleasant taste of organ meat. It is lightly sweetened with natural honey and maple syrup.

Grylls supported Organised after his own health suffered on a vegan diet. Over time, he felt weaker and less healthy. After watching his son eat a diet based on meat and eggs, and learning from nature and animals, he returned to eating grass-fed beef. As a result, his strength, energy, sleep, and overall health improved.

Organised’s mission is to bring back nutrients that modern diets have lost. The company believes health is not about adding more supplements, but about returning to real, natural food.

For Grylls, the people behind a business are just as important as the product. He says he only partners with people he trusts and respects, who care deeply about their work.

Now approaching 52, Grylls continues his adventures, including a new season of Running Wild. At the same time, he is focused on helping others live healthier and more meaningful lives through his shows, books, and businesses like Water2 and Organised.
