The list of Asia’s 50 Best Bars for 2025 has been announced, and Bar Leone in Hong Kong is ranked number one again. Other top spots went to bars in Seoul, Singapore, and Bangkok.

Each year, the World’s 50 Best Bars organization releases rankings of the best bars around the world. They also create separate lists for different regions, like Asia. On July 15, the 2025 Asia list was revealed during a live event in Macau. Bar Leone kept its top spot from last year, with Zest (Seoul), Jigger & Pony (Singapore), Bar Us (Bangkok), and Dry Wave Cocktail Studio (Bangkok) making up the rest of the top five.

Bar Leone opened in the summer of 2023 and quickly became popular. It made history last year by debuting as the number one bar in Asia. It also reached number two on the World’s 50 Best Bars global list.

The bar is run by Lorenzo Antinori, who used to work at famous bars like Argo in Hong Kong and Dandelyan in London. He works with team members Justin Shun Wah and Wing Lo.

Bar Leone is known for its “cocktails for the people” and tasty Italian sandwiches. The menu includes classic drinks like the Negroni, along with unique versions such as a Yuzu Negroni made with gin, vermouth, and yuzu liqueur. Another favorite is the Filthy Martini, which uses vodka and smoked olive brine.

When accepting the award, Justin Shun Wah said, “Last year we were speechless, and we still are.” He added that winning the award in Macau is extra special because he’s from Hong Kong and his mother is from Macau. “We’re so happy and truly surprised,” he said.

Bangkok had the most bars on the list, with seven. Hong Kong followed with six, and Singapore had five. Tokyo, Seoul, and Kuala Lumpur each had four bars in the top 50.
