We started the interview by asking, “Can you tell us a little about your professional journey and how ALPHA PUBLIC RELATIONS began?”

Katy Antonopoulou replied, “I began my communications career more than 35 years ago and I have always been passionate about healthcare and the power of meaningful communication. In 1998 I founded Alpha Public Relations (ALPHA PUBLIC RELATIONS) with the vision of building a specialised agency fully dedicated to healthcare communications. Over the years Alpha Public Relations has grown into one of the most established healthcare communication agencies in Greece working with pharmaceutical companies, patient organizations and medical associations. We remain an independent agency but also collaborate with international partners to deliver high quality services.”

The Worlds Times: What challenges do you face working in healthcare communications?

Katy Antonopoulou replied, “Healthcare is a highly sensitive and regulated industry. One of the biggest challenges is communicating complex medical information in a clear and responsible way. We must always follow ethical rules and comply with regulations especially developing disease awareness campaigns or patient education materials.

Another challenge is keeping pace with continuous scientific advances and rapidly evolvingcommunication technologies. These challenges inspire us to keep learning adapting and improving.”

Digital Innovation & Tools

The Worlds Times: How does ALPHA PUBLIC RELATIONS use digital tools and innovation in communication?

Katy Antonopoulou replied, “Digital transformation is at the heartof our strategy. We design digital disease awareness campaigns, organize virtual and hybrid medical conferences and develop online educational content for healthcare professionals. We also use data analytics to measure results and improve engagement. Our guiding principle is that every tool must serve a genuine communication purpose and deliver real value — whether to patients, healthcare professionals, or our clients.”

Vision for the Future

Lastly we asked, “What is your vision for ALPHA PUBLIC RELATIONS in the next few years?”

My vision is to continue strengthening ALPHA PUBLIC RELATIONS as a trusted partner in healthcare communication both in Greece and internationally. We will keep investing in our people, new technologies and scientific expertise. I also want ALPHA PUBLIC RELATIONS to play a leading role in promoting patient empowerment and public health education.
